Development
of industrial and commercial property in and around the Randburg area.
Until
1985 there was only one part of Randburg zoned industrial.
This area, known as Ferndale, was to become Strydom Park.
The main reason for this shortage of industry was that although Randburg was
an extremely popular residential and business area no "township existed
within its boundary and the old laws made it difficult for workers to travel
outside of their designated locations.
Although Randburg central
business district doesn't seem to be able to attract investors any longer,
many outlying areas are becoming more sought after.

Strydom
Park.
Randburg
West.
